Contralto-A is designed by quantum error-correction experts and is optimised for running distance-3 surface codes. The design incorporates advanced components such as tunable couplers and Purcell filters, to ensure high-fidelity operations.

Contralto-A is a first step on your roadmap. It is engineered to enable cost-efficient upgrading to larger QPUs powered by VIO, QuantWare’s proprietary scaling platform.

Contralto-A is delivered fully packaged and is compatible with Ardent connectors. Magnetic shielding is available as an option. 

For optimal operation, each qubit requires a RF AWG for driving and RF readout module for the readout. Each qubit and each tunable coupler require a DC source and AWG for flux biasing. Readout is optimised in combination with a Crescendo-S TWPA for each of the three feedlines.
